  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup quick grits
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a medium pot, bring water to a boil.
  • Add in grits and stir until it begins to boil again.
  • Reduce heat to simmer for five minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Slowly pour in heavy cream during the last minute, stirring to mix thoroughly.
  • Add butter, salt and pepper to taste until all are mixed well.
